About the Role
Are you an experienced Site Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a leading main contractor in Coventry. You will play a pivotal role in the refurb and new build of a commercial building, transforming it into a state-of-the-art wellbeing centre and commercial space.
Key Responsibilities of a Site Manager
- Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, trades, and labour, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining a safe and compliant site at all times.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work, conducting regular inspections to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Qualifications for a Site Manager
- Experience: Proven track record as a Site Manager in the construction industry, preferably with experience in refurb and new build projects.
- Qualifications: Relevant construction management qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 6, SMSTS, CSCS Card).
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.
