Your new role
I am currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Manager to join a medium sized residential house builder. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring the successful completion of construction projects within budget and on schedule. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise on-site construction activities, including coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement necessary corrective actions.
Liaise with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and records of subcontractor activities.
Monitor and control project budgets, including tracking expenses, managing costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic.

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and best practices.
Solid understanding of building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.

Valid construction-related certifications or qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
