Your new companyThis company is a UK-based construction company that has been innovating for its clients for around 100 years. Their vision is to be the UK's leading construction company. They are a strategic supplier to the UK Government with key strengths in education, healthcare, custodial, transport, and defence.Your new roleWorking for this company as a Site Manager on a permanent basis, you will be responsible for managing large commercial new build projects in Aberdeen City and Shire. Roles and responsibilities will include:
- Manage all aspects of the construction project from start to finish.
- Ensure that the project is completed within the given time frame and budget.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure that all quality standards are met.
- Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular progress reports for senior management.
What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in the role, you must have:
- Proven experience of managing major new build commercial construction projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of quality standards.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- The ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence, SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
