Job Description:
My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our dynamic team at our Gatwick office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects and play a key role in shaping the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a range of planning projects from inception to completion.
- Preparing and submitting complex planning applications and appeals.
- Conducting detailed planning research and analysis.
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Representing clients at planning committees, public inquiries, and stakeholder meetings.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
- Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing planning projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive and client-focused approach to work.
