Salary £41,000-£44,000

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with a leading charity that works towards creating a society where people are, and feel, safer, to help bring on board a skilled and dedicated Senior Services and Development Lead.
The Senior Services and Development Lead will oversee lead, deliver and develop operational projects, ensuring that the work of the charity has maximum impact. Operational services include a helpline and advocacy service to thousands of beneficiaries every year, a specialist service to provide advice and advocacy to victims in London, and national hubs, accreditation services and training. You will lead your team whilst developing and improving services which are grant funded.

Key responsibilities:
- You will ensure effective senior management oversight of operational activity within the portfolio, including effective line management of managers and team leaders.
- You will ensure the safe and effective delivery and development of the Trust's provision for victims.
- You will promote the work of the charity including the national helpline and advocacy services, strengthening their voice as an authority on safety.
- You will support the Director to identify service development opportunities and lead on their effective mobilisation and implementation.
You will have a successful track record in designing, developing and delivering a range of projects and services demonstrating strong project management skills, as well as significant experience offering strategic and operational direction to front line services in challenging and changing circumstances. You will have a background in the violence against women and girls' sector and experience of working in domestic abuse, sexual violence and/or the criminal justice sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in safeguarding and case supervision.
You will have demonstrable experience in a senior managerial role, managing managers, be confident setting targets and appraising performance and be an inspiring leader. You will be an excellent communicator with have a successful track record representing an organisation to senior external stakeholders, including government and the media, with strong influencing and negotiation skills with people at all levels. You will have experience developing briefings, producing reports and reporting to funders. You will understand the financial constraints of working in a small charity, and funding mechanisms within the sector, with proven ability to manage multiple complex budgets.
