Your new company
I'm excited to be supporting an organisation in Cambridge to recruit a Senior Client-side Project Manager to lead on projects over £2m in value. The organisation has a diverse project and property portfolio which will enable you to work on some very high-profile projects ranging from refurbishments, decarbonisation, sustainability and retrofit, through to state of the art new-build commercial and residential projects. You'll be joining a multidisciplined Projects team with around 20 Project Managers looking after a range of projects as listed above. The team are managing a pipeline of over £1bn in projects with 50 running at any one time.
Your new role
As a Senior Client-side Project Manager, you will be a strategic leader and will be responsible for taking projects from RIBA stage 0 through to completion.
You will be responsible for defining the needs of the project, planning, feasibility and design, stakeholder engagement, contractor management, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required quality standards. You'll be managing a range of external consultants including; engineers, architects, planners, QS, PM's and other professional staff.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will also be responsible for the management of master planning, briefing, commissioning consultants, design development, cost management, awarding construction contracts, which are associated with the procurement of new and refurbishment of existing buildings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Senior Project Manager and will have experience of delivering complex refurbishment and new build commercial projects. You'll have experience of taking projects from conception to completion and through all RIBA Stages. The Senior Project Manager will ideally be able to demonstrate the management of a portfolio of projects of £50m+ including the procurement and management of the associated teams of external consultants and contractors. You'll also be able to demonstrate sound financial and budget management of high-value and complex projects through to completion and handover.
