Our Client are currently looking for a Senior Cost Manager to work with a major oil, gas & energy client. The role is based in South West London with periodic travel to other locations.
Discipline knowledge: Civil, Mechanical, pipework, electrical, instrumentation, access, insulation, painting within Industrial sector (power, chemical, oil, gas, etc).
Experience 10 years plus including 5 year's plus as Senior Cost Manager on major capital projects (several hundred million to over billion pounds).
Strong Cost management background ideally client side. Supporting client's Project Controls and potentially Contract Management from cost perspective including:
- Interrogating & analysing the EPC contractors cost collection, cost reporting & forecasting
- Working in environments where the parties are seeking to protect their contractual position
- Cost input to change management
- Agreeing rates and prices with the contractor
- Reviewing cost & commercial submissions from the contractor and providing advice and guidance to client
- Agreeing the value of work done including processing valuations, applications and invoices.
- Ensuring the change management process is followed by all parties
