Our client, a very well-established Interior Fit-Out business based in the Northwest, are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious Senior Business Development Manager to join their successful business. The unique incentive to this position is the potential opportunity to be guided/progressed into a Managing Director position in the near future - this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate!Our client have been established for 20 years and currently t/o £25m. They have an incredibly strong order book and have fantastic relationships across the Midlands/North of the UK. There are c/30-35 FTE in the business and, due to their constant forward-thinking/succession plan, are now looking to recruit a well-connected industry-experienced Senior BD to join them and be moulded into an MD in the near future. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:- Generating leads and nurturing prospects, in order to develop new projects (from £100,000 - £7,000,000)- Maintaining a consistent, healthy pipeline of potential sales opportunities- Canvassing clients to set up meetings- Attending/running meetings (occasionally alongside current MD), tendering for large projects- Providing support with any account management duties for largest clients- Suggesting new, innovate methods of improving sales activities, in order to help boost new client generation- Identifying, monitoring and reporting on competitor activity and market trends, in order to improve market share- Representing company at eventsIn order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:- Proven track record of industry-relevant Business Development success (Fit-Out/Construction)- Strong formal and informal presentation skills- Negotiation and account management skillset- Strong entrepreneurial instincts, and ability to drive success through business strategies- Excellent communicatorIn addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering the following:- Realistic OTE of £120,000 - £140,000- Genuine progression opportunity to MD (working closely alongside current MD in order to be trained to take over)- People management opportunity (small BD team of 2 FTE)- Great social events!Our client are looking to secure the perfect candidate quickly (however will wait a notice for the right profile), so any interested candidates are urged to apply at their earliest convenience!
