Client Side Regional Property Manager Retail East Anglia

Hays are delighted to be working with one of the UK's largest independent travel agents to recruit a Regional Property Manager in the East. The property team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated regionally based Property Manager to cover the South East retail units that form part of the property portfolio of 435 shops and offices. This client is a major player in the Travel Industry with many accolades that recognise their achievements. Your new role
As the new Regional Property Manager you will be reporting to the Head of Property & Facilities and evaluating all the properties within the region in conjunction with the Property Team to develop an estates' strategy for each site to ensure buildings are safe and properly maintained. As a part of this strategy you will implement a programme to keep retail units in good condition. Once work begins on required sites you will identify local vetted contractors to carry out works, you will then fully project manage works from initial scope of works through tender process to turn key handover and manage new site openings, closures, relocations and refits.

Additionally, you will assist the property team in carrying out project works including energy efficiency initiatives and ensure all sites are fully compliant and kept up to date with all statutory requirements with an ongoing PMS,

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have a proven record of accomplishment in property management. We are looking for a candidate who holds qualifications in health and safety/facilities management, has over four years of experience in Property management, project management skills and a trade background. You should have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude, negotiation skills for contracts and managing projects, and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Being home based there will be a high level of autonomy hence the ability to manage their own time and prioritise work effectively whilst being able to effectively communicate with the rest of the team is essential.
