A Repairs and Maintenance contractor based in Bradford are looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team due a series of new contracts won across the West Yorkshire Region
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to Repairs and maintenance projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure accurate cost estimation, budget control, and timely delivery of projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Procuring materials and subcontractors
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations
- Managing variations and claims
- Providing regular reports to the project manager and senior management team
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software such as Autocad and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
