Hostelling Scotland is open to all. We are a non-profit charity and we take our responsibilities seriously, helping guests of all ages and backgrounds to discover and experience all that is Scotland.

At Hostelling Scotland we have some amazing buildings, however, with these buildings comes a lot of maintenance and upkeep. This is where you would come in.

The Co-ordinator will work in a small team keeping the engines running and ensuring jobs are prioritised by working closely with the Property Manager and Director of Property. This job is never dull, whether you are dealing with routine maintenance or supporting on major projects there will always be lots going on.

When dealing with suppliers, contractors or hostel managers, it is important that the Co-ordinator is able to communicate clearly, build relationships and manage expectation. Like work being done in your home, we all want it done yesterday, with minimum fuss.

There will be some travel involved in this role so to ensure that you can drive our pool cars we require you to have a full clean UK driving licence.

The Co-ordinator is also responsible for the upkeep of approved contractors list and ensuring all compliance documents are received by the due dates.

This at times can be a hectic role and one that would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment, is a master at multi-tasking, has great communication skills and has a good eye for detail.
