Project Quantity Surveyor role - Inverness Area

Your new role
In your new role as a Project QS, you will be dedicated to work on a medium-large scale civil engineering project in the Highlands. Working between the site and the head office, you will form a key part of the project team. Your responsibilities will include working to minimise risk in line with the contractual obligations of your employer, you will create forecasts and cost reports to help keep the project budget on track. Maintaining good working relationships with subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders will be key. You will work with the site team to produce monthly site valuations and create monthly reporting. You will prepare subcontract accounts and process payments as well as day-to-day contract administration.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working at a QS level with a civil engineering contractor. A degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred. However, applicants with a HNC/ HND will be considered if they have relevant professional experience. You will primarily work on NEC contracts, so knowledge in this area is essential. Strong IT skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills are also essential.
