Project Manager

My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join them. Having developed a strong presence and good reputation within the Aerospace industry, they are looking for someone to join them who wants to help make a difference. Reporting into the Operations Director, the Project Manager will have the responsibility for the overall direction, co-ordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Based at our Halesowen Head Office site, with some dual site requirements and external visits. The successful candidate will work with the Senior Management Team and the wider business, having a positive impact on the work environment while achieving the Company's objectives.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all open projects and quotations for the Business, liaising with Aerospace OEM and Tier 1 customer to deliver an industry leading Continuous Improvement program in Die Sink Tooling packages.
  • Liaising with stakeholders in Sales, Production, Purchasing and Technical to ensure customers receive tenders and projects on time and delivered in full.
  • Working with our US Business Unit to ensure timeline and systems are being adhered to
  • Full management of Project adherence with regards to timelines, technical queries and delivery within expected cost parameters
  • Visiting external suppliers where appropriate to ensure lead time and commitments are being adhered to.
  • Experience of managing several projects at once and exposure to time driven & gated project

management

  • Manage existing Project Budgets constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results

New Projects

  • Lead the planning and implementation of new projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans with the use of a cross functional team.
  • Manage project resource allocation.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management techniques and tools
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management and project management software.
