The project:

A new £25 million design & build residential development comprising a cut & carve refurbishment to retain the existing facade with MetSec frame new build over 3 floors to create 80 high-spec apartments. Running concurrently there will be 45 new traditional build 2 bedroom houses all fitted out to high specification.

The role:

As the Project Manager on this new build development you will be responsible for managing the new build housing phase of 45 units from groundworks through to practical completion and your role will include:

  • Developing programme controls and ensuring key milestones are delivered to schedule.
  • Providing input into design alongside the Design Manager.
  • Managing and supporting the implementation of H&S systems.
  • Leadership of the site management team which will include 2 Site Managers and a Finishing Manager as a minimum.
  • Management of project subcontractors.
  • Attending and chairing pre-start meetings with the client, designers, engineers and contractors along with chairing monthly progress review meetings.

This Project Manager role is ideal for you if:

  • Previous experience in a similar position working on projects in excess of £10 million in value.
  • Highly technical experience in construction.
  • Ideally educated to HND standard in a construction related field.
  • Experience of delivering design & build residential projects for a principal contractor.
  • Working knowledge of Asta Power Power Project / MS Project or similar project programming software.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Relevant and in date CSCS Card along with SMSTS and First Aid.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator experience is desirable but not essential.
