A Project Manager is required to lead and support multiple industrial / manufacturing projects in Sheffield. The role requires a focus on coordination, planning, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

Description

The Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Overseeing project work-flow and scheduling using MS Projects.
  • Leading teams of engineers to deliver multiple R&D projects.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
  • Collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Presenting reports on project progress, problems and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Managing risks and issues and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Ensuring standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

Profile

The successful Project Manager should have:

  • Worked in a similar Project Management position within engineering or R&D - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong IT skills and be proficient in project management software tools (MS Projects) - ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities - ESSENTIAL
  • A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field - DESIRABLE
  • Working knowledge of NEC4 - DESIRABLE
