Think Construction is delighted to be partnering with a leading regional main construction contractor to recruit a Project Manager for their experienced operational team. The Company
Our client is a well-established construction contractor based in the Midlands, boasting a turnover of 200 million. With a robust pipeline of secured projects, they specialise in sectors including education, healthcare, and commercial. Their project portfolio ranges from 500k to 10m, encompassing both refurbishment and new build schemes.
The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager who can autonomously oversee refurbishment and new build construction projects with values starting at 5m. Experience with a main contractor is essential. Reporting directly to a visiting Contracts Manager, who provides support as needed, you will be responsible for the overall accountability of assigned projects, ensuring their safe and timely delivery. Additionally, you will work with a visiting Quantity Surveyor to maintain project profitability.
As the Project Manager, you will manage day-to-day interactions with sub-contractors, with the following key responsibilities:
- Ensuring all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on site.
- Managing and overseeing all quality inspections.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Driving projects forward efficiently and effectively.
- Meeting tight deadlines with ambition and determination.
- Managing projects with values upwards of 5 million.
- Overseeing cost, quality, and time management with minimal support.
