Job Purpose: Are you passionate about driving renewable energy initiatives and fostering sustainable development? The Highland Council is seeking a dynamic and strategic Programme Manager to lead our renewable energy projects and investments. This pivotal role involves the strategic development, management, and implementation of sustainable energy initiatives to achieve the council s key deliverables and sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the council's renewable energy agenda, ensuring alignment with the Council s Programme, Budget Strategy, and the Highland Outcome Improvement Plan (HOIP) for .
• Oversee the governance, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster robust partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation and sustainable solutions.
• Utilise your extensive experience in economic and business development within the renewable energy sector to propel projects forward.
• Address challenges with professionalism and creativity, ensuring the council's projects are resilient and forward-thinking.

Key Requirements:

• Significant Experience: Demonstrable experience in economic and business development within the renewable energy sector.
• Project Management Expertise: Proven background in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on governance, execution, and successful delivery.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the council s sustainability goals.
• High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent ability to foster partnerships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
