Your Company:The talent acquisition team at NET Recruit are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful, rapid-growth business operating within the engineering industry, who are searching for an experienced Production Engineer to join their team in the Greater Portsmouth area. As a business with nearly 100 years of expertise they pride themselves on being able to provide customers a vast array of services including project management, analysis, design engineering, testing thus offering an end-to-end solution.This position within the business will support its key offerings and will be integral to the day-to-day operations. Working under the Senior Production Engineer, the successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and busy job, supporting to fulfil contracts to the highest standard.Role & ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: Reviewing contracts for requirements and estimates for information on tooling and the total time relating to components Raising part numbers, routes, work guidelines and product structure on IFS, ensuring the correct issue of drawings, item lists, or drawings lists relative to the contract and information given When these (in reference to the above point) are already present on IFS, checking that the part numbers, product structures, routings and guidelines are to the correct issue of the drawing and that item or drawing lists are connected in line with the contract and procedures, informing the Production Manager once completed Raising purchase parts, and if required, adding subcontract operation routings Raising stop notes or internal concessions when required, as a change from the contract occurs Making the decision as to whether items are declared scrap, or can be reworked or are concessable, as these actions are received on MRB Raising engineering change requests as and when drawings need to be altered or clarification sought Identifying ways in which to improve efficiency by reducing times/costs but keeping the same quality Completing risk reviews and ensuring the health and safety of any person under their controlWhat You Will Need To Apply:The be considered for this role, applicants must have previous experience within a comparable production engineer role of at least several years. Additionally, applicants should know how to use IFS and be familiar with reviewing contracts and raising part numbers, product structures and routes and guidelines to be considered. Good communication skills will also be desired greatly, as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within a fast-paced and high-volume environment.What You Will Get In Return:The successful could see a starting salary of up to £45,000, which will be highly dependent on previous and relevant experience to the role and sector.
