My public sector client is looking for an experience and hands on procurement manager to join the team, working a 4 day a week basis. This is a newly created position and will be responsible for leading on all procurement activities for the organisation as well as developing the procurement strategy and ensuring all procurement activity is in line with public sector regulations as well as organisational financial policies.

On a daily basis the role will include:

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy, analysing and interpreting spend data and information for contracts and suppliers
  • Ensure that the appropriate procurement policies and procedures in place to ensure compliance with current Public Contracts Regulations
  • Manage procurement processes and lead procurement related projects in order to deliver compliant and effective outcomes
  • Lead on tenders and OJEU level procurement, where applicable, to ensure adherence to procurement legislation.
  • Provide procedural training and advice to key staff to promote good practice and reduce risk to the organisation
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues who undertake low level procurement activities to ensure compliance with procedures and legislative requirements, ensuring value for money.

This is an exciting role and is being offered on a hybrid basis with travel to offices across Surrey as required. The role is being offered on a 4 day a week basis and is paying a salary of 40,000 ( 50,000 Full time salary).
