Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator
Salary: 29,000 - 36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: West Yorkshire
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential coordination and management support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our maintenance department. You will be responsible for planning maintenance activities, managing schedules, and working closely with various teams to maintain and improve the reliability of our assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and outages, establishing and applying best engineering practices.
  • Develop and manage the engineering shift plan, including holidays and call-out rotations.
  • Chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities and collaborate with the maintenance team to review and update maintenance schedules.
  • Manage and prioritize the maintenance work backlog, ensuring all activities are documented and tracked effectively.
  • Play a key role in maintaining and updating the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Leads to provide a comprehensive work schedule for shift engineers.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure that routine maintenance is planned and executed efficiently.
  • Oversee the repair process for equipment removed from the plant, ensuring proper work orders and cost capture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all maintenance activities.
  • Act as the site contact for contractors, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and to the required engineering standards.
  • Ensure that all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for planned work are available, up-to-date, and adhered to.
  • Create and review contract orders, and oversee planned preventative maintenance across all sites.
  • Provide support for capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and other project-related activities as needed.
  • Work with the learning and development team to maintain and review the training schedule for the maintenance team.
  • Conduct stock reviews with the maintenance team and provide support as needed.
  • Visit various sites as required to assist with planning and coordination.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Meticulous and logical approach to problem-solving and planning.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in team management and leadership is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance planning role is desirable.
