Our client is looking to recruit a Lettings Manager to join their friendly and specialist team in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of property for our client landlords across the private rented sector.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a Lettings Manager (or Assistant Lettings Manager) and possess a full UK driving licence. An ARLA qualification would be beneficial, and knowledge of the Brighton area is advantageous but not essential. Responsibilities as a Lettings Manager
Development of the business:
- Sourcing new landlord opportunities
- Increasing the active tenancy base
- Setting targets and providing training and support to staff to ensure these are achieved /exceeded
- Supporting the company strategy and being involved in marketing projects
Staff management and training:
- Supervising and motivating the Letting team, setting, and reviewing targets and objectives for the team on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and as agreed by the Directors
- Ensuring that all staff are fully briefed on properties listed
- Induction training for new employees
- Holding performance and motivational meetings role
- Coaching, developing, and managing staff performances
Manage the successful letting of properties by:
- Conversing with Landlord, Tenant and third-party issues arising from any aspect of letting properties
- Overseeing the coordinating proposed tenancies
- Ensuring exception service throughout the team
- Complying with all current legislation including EPC, Gas and Electrical safety, furniture regulations and general health and safety in properties
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Lettings Manager or Assistant Lettings Manager
- Knowledge of current and upcoming lettings legislation and law
- ARLA qualification beneficial
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of local Brighton area is advantageous
- Excellent people management skills including planning, coaching, appraisal/objective setting, delegation, team leading and training

Job Title: Lettings Manager

Salary: 30,000 - 50,000 per annum
Full Time: 41 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8:45am - 5:30pm) and 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00am - 1:30pm)
