We have an exciting new opportunity for a Key Account Sales Manager to join the team of a leading provider of publishing services responsible for generating sales for a suite of print and digital services for the UK independent publisher market.
This is a hybrid role, based 3 days a week in the London or Buckinghamshire office, with the remaining 2 days working from home.
This role involves managing a portfolio of customers to maximise their value by closely collaborating with publishers and new business to plan and implement new projects and print-on-demand services. You'll actively engage in author acquisition for online self-publishing services and support ebook expansion and ecommerce initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have proven success in a previous sales role and a strong understanding of the book industry, particularly in promoting and selling products and services. You will need to demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical skills, and the ability to utilise data-driven analysis to look at forecasting, price modelling and reporting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential in this role, as you will work closely with various departments such as customer services, content acquisition, and marketing to enhance the growth of new customers, facilitate the introduction of new titles from publishers, and support the creation of new business prospects. It's crucial to have confidence when approaching prospective leads, presenting, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of new deals, encompassing negotiations on prices and contracts.
