I'm currently representing a well-known PE backed financial services business based in the heart of Manchester City Centre who operate a flexible hybrid working pattern. Due to growth within the business, I'm currently recruiting for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join the company.
The position will be reporting directly into a Group Finance Director, and you'll part of a brilliant, capable team who are always looking to progress and push the business forward into different areas of the market. You will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, statutory reporting, tax reporting, process improvement, ad hoc queries whilst manging a small team.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts, working alongside the Group Finance Director
- Ensuring reporting is delivered in time and in line with all current regulatory standards
- Prepare technical papers, including to support M&A activity, IFRS updates etc
- Support the business in financial decision-making and identifying areas for process improvement across the finance function
Key requirements:
- Post-qualified (ACA, ACCA) with a good amount of experience within financial reporting and audit
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience in a similar all-round reporting position
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS with high quality data manipulation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to other areas of the group
