Location: Heather Park House (Stonebridge Park, North Circular Road, London, NW10 7NN)
Shift Schedule : 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Weekend availability.
Main Purpose of the role
We are looking for Ground Workers to join our Vegetation Team in carrying out vegetation maintenance and rail activities on the rail infrastructure.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Ground Worker you will:
- Undertake all aspects of vegetation maintenance which includes but is not limited to grass and hedge trimming, herbicide application and assisting in the cutting of trees on the rail infrastructure.
- Liaise and maintain good relationship with the client's representative, enforcement authorities and the general public.
- Wear all relevant PPE where mandated by the relevant safe system.
- Ensure that all work sites and area's used by CCS are left in a clean and tidy manor.
- Ensure that any plant and equipment is only operated by staff with a relevant certificate of competence.
- Undertake all duties in a safe manner as required by site manager / team leader.
- Work within sentinel scheme rules.

Desirable Qualifications and Certifications:
- Sentinel
- Basic Track Awareness (BTA)
- Manual Handling
- Strimmer/Brush cutter & Hedge trimmer
- First Aid
- Chainsaw Basic Maintenance & Cross Cutting (CS30 or equivalent)
- Chainsaw Basic Felling Techniques (CS31 or equivalent)
- Wood Chipper
- PA1 & PA6
