Financial Accountant - Audit and Statutory Reporting
Location - Remote with occasional travel to our London/Bedford offices and
regional sites
Full Time - 37.5hrs per week
Salary - up to £70,000 per annum dependant on experience
Are you a qualified and experienced finance professional with a knack for audit leadership and statutory reporting processes? Within this role you will be covering Fixed Assets, Treasury, Statutory Financial Reporting and Group Reporting and other ad hoc business requirements.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Financial Accountant.
Ramsay Health Care UK is part of a global hospital operating group that is the 4th largest provider of private healthcare in the world. In the UK, we're growing rapidly, with 30+ hospitals providing diagnostics and treatment for both private and NHS patients. Join us as a Financial Accountant, and you'll take responsibility for the entire finance function whilst driving growth and innovation.
We are looking for a full time Financial Accountant to take day to day overall responsibility for the financial function.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Manage monthly reporting for the UK business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead internal reporting in line with Group requirements, preparing consolidated financial statements.
Maintain the integrity of the financial position statement.
Oversee the UK audit team relationship and lead external audit processes. Managing the relationship with the UK audit team and the leading external audit processes for the UK business. This will include the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts
Ensure that robust and appropriate financial controls exist within the business and that the UK maintains a strong control compliance framework
Provide technical expertise for the business on accounting standards (IFRS) enabling the business to reach commercial decisions within this framework
Development of the financial knowledge of non-financial managers across the business. Ensuring the finance community are updated with any technical updates
Contribute and update policies as required and inform the business of any pertinent changes
Advise senior management of any legislative changes which impact upon the business
Ad hoc projects including due diligence of potential acquisitions and other transactions working as part of cross functional teams within the business and supporting Group on potential opportunities
Essential Experience:
Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA) with proven audit management experience and strong financial control skills
Proven track record in effective leadership and team development
Excellent communication skills for engagement with stakeholders
Strong commercial and financial skills, including transactional work
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
