Are you a Design expert with experience in Design Management? A great opportunity to work across Devon for a regional contractor is available. This contractor has a solid workload and an enviable client base, working across residential, extra care, missed use, education and commercial sectors, including D&B projects.
As a Design Manager you will take responsibility for all pre-construction and construction design management which will include:
- Assist with the tender process, submission and review of design proposals
- Identify and manage design risk, review and offer design alternatives
- Co-ordinator external consultants to ensure all design information is to hand
- Monitor and report on design progress to ensure overall progress against programme and quality is maintained and achieved
- Verify new design documentation, be the interface with the client and chair design meetings
You will suit this role if you have the following:
- Must have at least 5 years-experience in a similar role as a Design Manager
- Experience of technically managed D&B projects
- Have good pre-construction and construction phase experience
- Must be able to take lead with good communication skills
On offer is the opportunity to work locally on a real mix of projects with a sustained work load, salary is Circa £65,000 + package
