Purpose of the Role

To collect, analyse and present data-driven insights in support of informed decision-making across the Service Partner + function, including benchmarking.

To promote the adoption of leading-edge reporting and analytics activities by Service Partner + colleagues.

This role will work closely with the Service Partner + Systems and Process specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Data Definition: work with Service Partner + colleagues to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across the function, including benchmarking data. Alignment to the systems and data management strategy.

Data Collection and Extraction: clean, transform, and pre-process raw data to ensure its quality and accuracy. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Service Partner+ colleagues, site managers and other Savills teams, as well as our Service Partners, to identify data sources and gather relevant data from various internal and external systems. Use SQL, APIs, and other data extraction methods to retrieve data from databases, data warehouses, and online platforms.

Data Analysis: apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data. Develop and implement data models to support advanced analytics and forecasting.

Report Generation: design and develop automated dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI and AI, Tableau, or other relevant platforms. Create comprehensive and easy-to-understand reports that highlight key insights and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Data Interpretation and Communication: interpret complex data findings and share them in a clear, concise and insights driven approach (for both technical and non-technical audiences). Collaborate with Service Partner + and other Savills colleagues, as well as Service Partners, to understand their analytical needs and provide relevant reports and analysis.

Risk Management: identify and mitigate data and reporting-related risks, and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Data Governance and Security: ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations by handling data ethically and securely. Contribute to wider data governance initiatives and discussions, including data quality and master data management.

Cross-functional Collaboration: support Service Partner + colleagues and be a single point of contact for disseminating best practice in reporting and analytics across the Service Partner + function.

Continuous improvement and learning: stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and reporting (including AI and Robotics). Proactively identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis or reporting role, preferably in a business or corporate environment.
  • Knowledge: proficiency in data manipulation languages, such as Python, SQL or R. Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Data analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, along with experience in extracting meaningful and actionable insights from complex datasets. Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and data modelling concepts.
  • Attention to detail: detail-orientated with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Communication skills: exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creativity and continuous improvement: innovative mindset, bringing new ideas and creative approaches to reporting and analytics.
  • Relationship building: excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Service Partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency: proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis techniques.

Desirable

  • Qualifications: Recognised practitioner qualification in data management, data science, analytics, computer science.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of property sector.

The candidate attributes detailed above are considered to be non-essential although training will be provided on more technical aspects of the role.
