Contracts Manager
Location: Bristol and Surrounding areas
Salary: 52,000 + excellent benefits
Our client, a national Facilities contractor, is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee a mobile self-delivery team, contract administrators, and specialist subcontractors. The role involves managing Mechanical and Electrical Planned Maintenance, Reactive Works, Small Works, and Minor Capital Replacement Projects across Cornwall.
Key Accountabilities:
- Efficiently manage the contract to meet customer expectations.
- Conduct audits on quality systems, including Gas Safe, Oftec, NICEIC, SHEQ, compliance, and workmanship inspections.
- Maintain high engineering standards.
- Implement continual improvements in services.
- Attend regular performance meetings with customers.
- Oversee project deliverables and ensure resources are available for safe work practices
- Support out-of-hours escalations and company procedures
- Manage requests via the clients' Concerto CAFM system.
- Assist with statutory compliance and planned maintenance activities.
- Oversee financial administration and P&L management.
- Provide monthly financial applications and manage WIP to avoid penalties.
- Work within operational budgets.
- Provide costs for capital projects and plant replacements
- Manage debt, appoint subcontractors, and compile financial reports.
Essential Skills Needed
- Minimum of one trade qualification, preferably in Electrical Installations or Gas & Mechanical Ventilation Installations.
- Commercially astute with knowledge of measuring works and cost management.
- Excellent customer interface, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel and capable of monitoring IT systems and paperwork
