We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Development lead on behalf of our client, a leading organisation committed to providing high-quality accommodation for individuals with mental health support needs, learning disabilities, and/or autism. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful development and delivery of new and refurbished properties that cater to the bespoke needs of residents and align with local priorities.
About the Role:
As a Property Development lead, you will be responsible for:
Managing the development and delivery of new property and refurbishment projects, from negotiation through the construction phase to occupation.
Conducting development appraisals and viability assessments.
Acting as a project manager, overseeing a caseload and pipeline of property development projects.
Representing in negotiations with Employer's Agents, Surveyors, Architects, and other technical professionals.
Reviewing and negotiating terms of engagement with landlords and property developers to protect business interests and minimise risks.
Seeking opportunities for investment and capital funding to secure accommodation.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous demonstrable experience in managing the development, refurbishment and acquisition of property for individuals with disabilities. (please only apply if you possess this skillset)
Significant relevant project management experience that could be gained within a supported living working environment.
Experience working directly with Employer's Agents and other construction professionals.
Thorough knowledge of the property development process and land transactions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be an ambassador in negotiations.
Motivation and resilience, with the ability to handle demands, targets, guidelines, and high-stress situations- this role is lone working.
Qualifications & not limited to:
SMSTS Qualified
CSCS
First Aid (preferable but not essential)
IPAF & PASMA Qualified
LEVEL 6 NVQ DIPLOMA in construction or equivalent
RICS (preferable but not essential)
