Great opportunity for a Freelance Civil Engineer located in Grimsby. 6 months + with likely extension.

Due to a healthy forward workload, we are currently looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with 5+ years experience for a great company in Grimsby.
Your new role
Ideally, you will be HND qualified or similar and will be responsible for the preparation, issue and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements of the company. To be responsible for the technical, financial and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager. To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a successful, refinery in Grimsby.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong civil engineering background, and ideally have a minimum of 5 + years relevant UK experience. You will need to have worked in construction and refineries in the past and have a Topographical survey proficiency.

You will also need confidence technically, have strong communication skills to maintain strong client relations and be a good team player. You will join a busy and expanding team working on a variety of engineering projects, within an up-and-coming friendly team. The ability and desire to develop new and existing contacts and relationships locally is essential. Demonstrate good development of knowledge in civil engineering and infrastructure development. Have awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment. Have the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders. A strong background in civil engineering with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position, or 10 years' experience in the construction industry including time spent in a refining environment. Have awareness of business development activities and be responsible for the preparation and issues and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements. To have limited responsibility for technical, financial and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager.
