Artis Procurement have an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join a leading Bristol based manufacturing business. The role will work closely with the Procurement Manager and wider team, with specific focus building strong relationships with their supplier based to ensure better quality and cost are delivered.

You must also have a proven ability to operate in a fast paced environment, being adaptable and welcome to change.

Buyer Responsibilities
Negotiating best cost, delivery terms and payment terms.
Manage total supplier delivery performance, support supplier business reviews and manage and monitor OTIF and Overdue performance metrics.
Management of the purchase requisitions for timely placement of PO's and sub-contract orders as required.
Ensure appropriate quality instructions and customer requirements are provided to suppliers.
Coordinate delivery status, communicate internally and manage any recovery.
Management of risk, with appropriate escalation.
Support supplier selection and assessment process

Buyer Experience
Previous experience in a purchasing role is essential, preferably manufacturing but not essential.
Previous experience in either Automotive or Aerospace procurement
Inter-operational process management experience, with a good knowledge of purchasing procedures.
Trained in continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Excellent Excel skills.
Good project management skills.
