We are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager for an SME contract fit-out business based in Bristol.
As Contracts Manager will be responsible for smooth running of projects contractually, liaising with both the on site team/operation and the client ensuring the project runs on time and to budget. You will hold full accountability of organising staff and contractors and full delivery of projects.
Key responsibilities
- Define the scope of projects in collaboration with sales team, creating detailed work plans - ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Recruit all necessary staff and sub-contractors with appropriate skills necessary to carry out the project activities.
- Ensure all Health and Safety aspects of the project are implemented and followed including the compilation of all relevant document.
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff within the business on the progress of the project, prepare progress reports for senior management.
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Provide progress reports on the project for senior management.
- Monitor all budgeted project expenditures.
- Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to finance management on a regular basis.
- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
Office hours: Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm
Requirements- Proven and demonstrable evidence of exemplary track record in project and operations management
- 5 years working at a senior level as a Contracts Manager within the commercial Fit-out sector
- Experienced in problem solving and creating solutions when things don't go to plan
- Proficient use of Microsoft programmes such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
- Effective communicator - both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as and when needed - nationally.
- Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 (DOE)
