SHEQ Manager - NI Based Construction Projects

Your new company
Your new company is a multi-disciplinary building & civil engineering contractor based in Co. Down, specialising in design & build and refurbishment services within the commercial, retail, healthcare and institutional sectors. The company have built an enviable industry name over the last 15 years, consistently delivering high quality service and earning an annual turnover now in excess of £80million. Due to a number of recent contract awards, the company now require Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
Your new role
As Health & Safety Manager, you will balance your working week between head office either in South Down or in Belfast & various sites throughout NI. You will be heading up the health and safety division on a range of innovative & challenging projects from large scale education and hospitality schemes to retail and commercial new builds .
You will be tasked with carrying out site inductions, tool-box talks & regular safety audits ensuring the maintenance and management of the IMS systems and ISOs across the business. You will be given the opportunity to manage your own schedule throughout the week, including site and office location to suit your personal preference. You will be tasked with assisting in ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated alongside the development and regular review of SHEQ Policies, risk assessments and method statements for all operations and works carried out.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful Health & Safety Manager, you will have a previous track record working in a similar role within a construction environment. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree.
