Turner Lovell are recruiting an experienced HSE Manager to join a market leading client who are building renewable energy infrastructure across the UK & Ireland. The client is looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead, coordinate and oversee the HSE activities for the entire project, from inception to completion (including the civil works, M&E installation and commissioning activities, onshore and offshore).

This will include site inspections, client liaison, monthly reporting, construction phase plans, traffic management and providing technical advice on the project.

If you have extensive civil and M&E project experience as a HSE Manager, have confident client facing skills and an ability to lead HSE Advisors on site, this is an excellent long-term opportunity.

Duties:

  • Provide HSE leadership & management for a new-build large energy facility, from civil construction stage to complete handover
  • Undertake regular audits and inspections on site to identify & evaluate areas of improvement
  • Provide, update and finalise monthly reports & KPI's, construction phase plans, traffic management and provide EHS technical advice on the project
  • Lead the implementation of HSE initiatives.
  • Attend and be a representative on all site, project, and safety meetings.
  • Ensure sub-contractor safety documents are produced and available on site, relevant and in accordance with best practice and current legislation.
  • Review internal teams and subcontractor personnel activities and manage / follow up Non-conformances.
  • Assist the Project Manager on the preparation of the safety file for handover to the client at the end of the project


Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a HSE Manager on UK construction projects
  • Experience as an HSE Manager on safety critical environments.
  • Willing to be site-based
  • Formal education in health and safety, for example a Diploma / NVQ level 6 in H&S (or equivalent)
  • Ability to recommend preventative HSE actions and drive the necessary implementation on site.
  • Tickets needed: CCNSG or CSCS, NEBOSH
  • Strong CDM awareness
