Responsibilities: As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our residential construction projects across the Yorkshire region. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and overseeing multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Collaborating with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and expectations are met.
- Providing leadership and support to site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Resolving issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the residential construction sector, particularly with regional house builders.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Requirements:
- SMSTS and CSCS certification.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to project management.
- Flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region.
