Responsibilities: As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our residential construction projects across the Yorkshire region. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety practices on construction sites.
  • Liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and expectations are met.
  • Providing leadership and support to site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Resolving issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the residential construction sector, particularly with regional house builders.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and quality standards.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS and CSCS certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to project management.
  • Flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region.
